This is such a great little camera that when I lost mine last week, I bought another one just like it. One of the best features is that is has a real viewfinder instead of just the viewing screen on the back, like most digital cameras out there now.
On a trip to Alaska we used it for movies of the trip and they came out beautifully.
It is very easy to upload to a computer to share with others and to hook up to your TV for viewing. The picture quality is great even for larger prints.
There was a very short learning curve since it is so easy to use. I would definitely recommend this camera and was very happy to find there were still some around on Amazon since Sony doesn't make them anymore.

I just upgraded from the Sony Cyber Shot S60. The pros of this camera are the price, compact size, color selection, and smile shutter feature. The Cons of this camera are there is no trimming or cropping feature, which I use all the time, it uses a Sony battery instead of AA batteries, and it uses a Memory Stick Pro Duo. Honestly, I like my old one better, but I will get used to this one. I've always purchased Sony digital cameras until earlier this year when I purchased my first d-SLR. Due to the SLR's bulky size, I wanted another camera to carry at all times in my purse. I purchased this camera with high hopes for great pictures and ease of use. The ease of use is awesome. Quality of pictures is something else. They're okay but nothing spectacular. Blown up in Photoshop, I am sadly disappointed. My Sony camera that I purchased 2 cameras before this one took much better pictures. (last one being an H1 and the one before that being an F717) In fact the F717 still amazes me with its picture quality (at 5MP). Both the H1 and the F717 were quite a bit more expensive and had better sensors and lens but I figured since it had been at least 3 and 5 years since those cameras were new, that the W120 would be comparable. I thought maybe my expectations were a little unrealistic because I was accustomed to my SLR. But---I have compared the W120 to the F717 and there is just no comparison. Hands down, the 5+ year old F717 beats the W120 at any shooting situation.
My last gripe about the W120 is the download cable. What is this? Why can't it use some type of a standard cable? I finally gave my W120 to my daughter who comes home only about every 2 weeks. She likes to download her pics to our computer but the last time, she forgot her cable. I have almost every download cable that's available but not that "special" one. Wait---oh, yeah, I'll use a card reader. Oh, wait---I can't find the adaptor for the pro duo card. Now that's a dilemma. Come on, Sony, make downloading a little easier. Simplicity would have been nice here.
I give it 3 stars because it is handy and has some great features on it, but I think picture quality and the download situation could be better.

I have had the Sony Cybersot for about two months now. I owned a previous model of the Sony Cybershot that I absolutely loved. unfortunately It fell out of my purse and crash to the ground. It was never the same. But din't get me wrong that was the last of thusands of crashes... That was just the final one.
So I automatically set out to get another. First off I loved that I had a choice of colors (Pink, Black, Silver & Blue). Of coarse I chose the pink... Thing that I hated most was the music. It took me a while to figure out how to cut that annoying feature off. InstantlyI was not a fan of the menu... I had to actually break down and use the manual... For me that is virtually unheard of!!! & Believe me I am embarassed to actually admitt this fact... lol
Ok back to the Sony Cybershot. I purchased this camera for the Smile Shutter technology. It captures smiles the moment they happen - without having to press shutter. The mode can be set to capture when your subject laughs, smiles or even grins. It also has Face Detection function is able to differentiate children and adults to set priority.
With this camera I actually take better pictures in poor lighing. It takes fabulous pictures in normal lighting. There has been several occasions that I have used my camera and my pictures have been requested the most...
I am also very pleased that the screen in the rear of the camera is huge and clear as a bell. In poor lighting you can't see very well but that is expected. Once you take enough pictures you will be able to capture whatever your heart desires.
7.2-megapixel gives you more detail and definition whenever you need big prints or for tight cropping. The advanced Sony Super HAD (Hole Accumulated Diode) CCD design allows more light to pass to each pixel, increasing sensitivity and reducing noise. So Bad lighting situations are ideal for this camera.
Carl Zeiss 4x Optical Zoom Lens is great for sharp, detailed long shots and quickly frame images for better composition -- great for family sports, outdoor fun, and travel photos.
