I didn't buy cd player from Amazon. But I still wanted to share how much I like this walkman. So much so that I bought 1 for myself, my husband and my mom. As well as an extra one just incase something went wrong with one of the 3.
The sound has an adjustable boost mode. You can also set your display 3 different ways. You can resume play. This is the best feature. It starts right where you leave off. You can program the player. Or listen to the radio.
One of the best features is the skip protection. I've jiggled it, bounded it still stays on track. I've even dropped it twice and it started just like always. Batteries last pretty long as well.
Great product! I would recommend out to others.

This CD player was purchased to add MP3 capability to a radio which can play standard CDs or tapes so that Books-on-Tapes could be heard. If your music is through an iPod this isn't for you, you don't need it. If your library has texts, novels,etc. in MP3 format this is for you. Sound quality is excellent although I use my own ear phones or plug it into the audio input of my radio (make certain your radio has one). It is fully portable and could easily be used with a 'Boom-Box'. Battery life is average and you can purchase a small transformer if you want to use it with house outlets. I really haven't had it long enough to comment on durability.The FM adds nothing but may have appeal to some, the issue is reception as there is no antenna tospeak of.Digital camera Review: Marvelous CD/MP3/FM player

I purchased this device to replace an old cd player I had that had the resume feature. I listen to books on disc during my commute. It is almost impossible to find a player with the resume..or start back up where I left off..feature. This one has it. I love the little remote button. My review is not about the CD player quality -- I have not yet played it.
My concern is about the packaging: Sony is apparently sending out this unit to suppliers like Amazon without including the AC power supply, earbuds, and circle remote.
Both orders were placed from the Amazon website. My first order was via Electronica Direct. After the first model came with the missing parts, I re-ordered direct through Amazon. Same thing. Missing parts.
So, it appears Sony has sent out a bundle of packages without the accessories.
I phoned Sony. They were helpful, and are sending me the parts direct, free of charge. However, there is the hassle of waiting 7-10 business days (i.e. 2 more weeks). When I paid for rush 2 day shipping on the initial order, this is of course frustrating.
If I were to do it again for the first time: I would order directly from Sony: $49 and no shipping. Actually beats Amazon!
