I really like the size of this camcorder, plus the fact that it goes directly to the DVD. The one thing I dislike is that the lens cover does not automatically open and shut. I have had mine one year now and the lens cover will not close at all. You need to be sure that the small DVD's will work in your DVD player also.Digital camera Review: Good camcorder.

Takes good pictures. Easy to use. Doc's weren't real clear about trying to delete files from DVD versus from the memory card. The DVD, you can re-format the entire thing but not delete individual files, like you can on the memory stick. Once I figured that out, everything else is pretty much straight forward.Digital camera Review: Great Camcorder

I got this camcorder so my husband would have something else to use instead of his camera phone for short little videos. I love how small it is and that it is so easy to use. When my 19 month old is doing something we don't want to miss you can very easily grab this and start filming immediately. I have not tried downloading any photos/videos to the computer. I am using the dvd-r for most of the video because there is no having to download it's right on the disk and I can pop it into my dvd player. I did buy the memorex dvd's and everytime you turn the camcorder on it tells you you should be using sony products. This is annoying. It is not uncommon for people to purchase other brand items if they are a little more reasonable in price. I also found that alot of the prices on amazon for batteries, dvds, memorysticks are much more reasonable that the stores in my area. And as stated in other reviews, the battery when charged only has like 60 minutes on it so a bigger battery is definately a must and than you would have a backup for those special moments when you realize your battery is dead. All in all a great product that I have been recommending to my friends and family.
