The picture quality for still pictures is not that great, but its a CAMCORDER its made for motion pictures!
as far as the Low light shooting (Night vision) mode its awsome, but it has kind of a green hue, some people don't like it...I do...its an awsome camcorder.

I have heard a lot of good things about Sony. And I was desperately trying to look for a Camcorder to make videos for Youtube. Well, I came across this Camcorder. My Friend had a Sony and she liked it, and I liked the features with this Camcorder

So I bought the Camcorder. Really Big Mistake. Opened it out of the Box, started using it, and the video quality was horrible. And I just don't mean horrible, I mean "Horrible, Extremely Bad". My Kodak Easyshare Digital Camera had better video quality than this. The video quality was very grainy and fuzzy, and I was very shocked. For an expensive camcorder like this, I was just really disappointed. The Camcorder isn't worth it if it doesn't have good video/picture quality. Yes, it has tons of great features, but that doesn't mean anything if it's a camcorder with really bad video quality. I think next time, Sony should pay attention more to the quality the Camcorder is making instead of the Features. I'm switching to Panasonic.
