Digital camera Review: Picture Fail after 3 months
Summary: 1 Stars

This DVD player worked fine at first, but after about three months the screen worked only intermittently. For example, the picture would play about every third time the unit was turned on. A short time after that it was permanent video fail. Now it plays only the audio of a DVD. I bought the Sony brand because I thought it would be a quality product. What a waste of money.

Digital camera Review: Picture Goes Out
Summary: 2 Stars

I have had this DVD player for about 6 months. In almost all respects it has been great, except that in the last month, the picture has started going out. In the middle of a video, for no apparent reason, the picture disappears, and the dvd will not respond to any of the control buttons. So, I have to turn it on and off several times until the picture reappears. As of now, the picture will not appear at all. I am very disappointed with this dvd player, and will not buy another one from SONY.

Digital camera Review: Portable DVD player
Summary: 5 Stars

Really liked this player. The sound is excellent. I liked the bigger screen that it comes with. My mother is actually the one who wanted it and she really likes it. The DVD player is lightweight so if someone wants to take it on vacation it is really handle to do so.

Digital camera Review: So far is great
Summary: 4 Stars

Replaced a portable DVD player and so far it's working well. My toshiba did as well so my real rating will have to be when I have it longer. A much clearer picture than my older Toshiba. I don't like the buttons below the screen. Can't see them in the dark and often push ones I don't mean to as they aren't really buttons.

Digital camera Review: So far so good...
Summary: 5 Stars

Purchased this DVD player to keep my 21 month old happy on the airplane to Mexico. It worked like a charm! While she doesn't watch a ton of TV/movies it kept her happy when she started to get to figety.

When we didn't use it we stored it in the seat pocket and had no problems with it.

Sound and picture quality was what I expected it to be and I was very pleased. I have heard the horror stories on these machines. This was my first time purchasing a personal DVD player and I'm happy with my choice. I know Sony is a name usually indicitive of quality and they measured up so far.

Only think I was a little frustrated with is the power button is a slide on the side. It got turned on once in our carry on but the battery still held for the entire trip. After that I just learned to make sure it was put in the carry on so the "slide" wouldn't be disturbed.

I would buy this product again, especially if Sony added a lock on the power switch.
