Digital camera Review: Great player - didn't work out for me

This is an absolutely great player. I ordered it to use on long trips for my 2 year old. It performed incredibly well. Great sound, the best resolution I've seen on a portable. Size is perfect. However, it was misrepresented on the site. I need a region-free player to play international DVD's. It didn't do as advertised. So I had to return it. I also have to say, Amazon was amazing about taking it back and promptly giving me a refund. I wish I could have kept this player.
Great service from Amazon and a great product. Just not the right one for me.

This DVD player was an absolute life saver on a recent 8 hour drive. It is easy to use. The picture quality is good. The sound is what I would expect from something portable. I bought a mounting kit to hang it on the back seat, which worked great.Digital camera Review: Great purchase!

We bought this for my son for travel on air planes, and to use a CD player at bedtime. It works great, sounds great, is easy for me to use, and the red is a cool color. Love the swivel feature. Compact and fits well in a padded backpack or bag.Digital camera Review: Great, but only for US dvds

The player has a nice screen, great battery life and everything works as advertised (one month after purchase).
The main problem is that there is no way to remove region coding. I spend a lot of time in Europe (region 2), and I cannot play my European DVDs (mostly kid's movies, most of which are not available in the U.S. region). So one either has to buy 2 of these players with different region codes or you need to copy every single European DVD into the computer and burn it without a code. I do the latter, because my kids scratch the DVDs like crazy and this way I can at least keep the originals protected. Nevertheless, it sucks that I HAVE to do it before playing the DVD.

I purchased this DVD player to use while I am working late at the office. The battery life is pretty true to the claim. The sound and picture quality are excellent. I didn't think I'd like or need having a remote control, but I do. When I get interrupted by someone coming in to my office, I simply press PAUSE. Not only do I not lose my place in the movie, but the person gets the hint that I am busy!
I'm looking forward to taking it on a plane trip with me.
I purchased the RED....it's really pretty.
