Digital camera reviews of Sony DVPFX810 8-Inch Portable DVD Player, BlackDigital camera Review: BAD BAD BAD IDEA Summary: 1 StarsTHE DVD player came to my house and DOES NOT play DVDs JEJEJEJEJE (?Jesus Christ?); plays CDs in few cases. I Live outside the united states and it very frustrating because i dont have product warranty. My best advice is DONT BUY IT.
Digital camera Review: Comparison between FX810 and FX820 Summary: 3 Stars Over the Memorial Day weekend, I toured a few electronics shops near my home to test portable DVD players. I took my own headphones and favorite DVDs (both retail ones and ones burned by my DVD recorder) with me.
At first I liked FX810, meeting what I had expected from a portable DVD player under $200. FX810 played all kinds of discs I tested and has a good picture quality, a compact body, and long battery life. But once I tested FX820, I fell in love with the newer model. FX820 has a much better monitor and bigger sound from the speakers while keeping all good features of the old model.
In short, FX820 exceeded my expectation. The price difference between the two models is between 20 to 50 dollars. I was lucky enough to find a shop in Montana which sold FX820 for $149.95 INCLUDING shipping. Another concern about FX810 is its durability. I saw several returned units at a local Circuit City and one at display did not work at all. There is no way to predict the durability of the newer model, but I hope SONY has solved the problems of FX810 and made FX820 more durable.
If you are wondering which model should you buy, I would recommend FX820 over FX810.
Digital camera Review: Great player! Summary: 5 StarsWe purchased 2 of these units for a plane trip for our 3 kids. THey have a very long battery to last the entire flight!! So far we love them. We also like the swivel screen!
Digital camera Review: Just ok item Summary: 3 StarsPicked up this item last minute before a family road trip when our cheapo, no name player died. It appeared to be a great item. This player is great except for the sound. We set it up to be suspended between the front seats. Our 3rd row seating could never hear the player at top sound. When we entered a rain storm the 2nd row was unable to hear the player, and they were front row. Our cheapo setup that died was at least 3 times as loud as this one. Also, why is the remote almost half as big as the player?
Digital camera Review: Great DVD Player-I got the same but in Blue..! Summary: 5 StarsI bought this player for the large travels by plane. I used this player recently in the fly from Seattle,Wa to San Francisco,CA (1.5 hrs), ; I saw one movie with the full battery charge and later for the fly from San Francisco to Mexico City (4.5 hrs) with the rest of charge, I saw 2 movies with the same battery charge, the battery works very well. The only complaint is that the sound is very low, you must listen the player with headphones, I recommend you use the Sony MDR-V150, then the sound will be great. Maybe some buyers have problems with the battery, normally the rechargeable batts have a life time, if you batt does not hold the charge you will must get other battery. This player was delivered by Sony since 2006-2007, if the player was delivered by sony early then the battery life time will be short, the battery life time decrease if you does not charge it; when the player is not being used, you must charge the battery anyway, this way the battery will hold the charge for longtime when you really use the player.
