great product. ran straight out the box. No english translation to instructions available. Even called Sony and was told there is no English instructions for this product. If Amazon.com is going to sell a product, you expect to be able to have english as the language for instructions. So, be aware of this. NO ENGLISH INSTRUCTIONS AVAILABLE FOR UNTI. First of all, I compared prices from the various sellers and chose All Region World for price and the free shipping. The dvd player arrived in three days! I believe some other reviewers have mentioned how fast their players arrived. For some reviewers the instruction manual (or lack of one) has been an issue. This seller included a photocopied manual in English. The player was very simple to set up and simple to use. It plays all my dvds including regions 2 and 4. I recently got this dvd player and plugged it in and played my region 2 and 3 cds and they played just fine. Its the main reason why i bought this dvd player: The ability to play whatever cds from around the world..no region codes blocking whatsoever. Unlike the last region code dvd player (the durabrand one that is supposedly all region but it is not at all it just played region 1 discs, i also got that one from amazon.com) that I had to send back..there was no weird codes to type in or unnecessary calls made to the product company for codes that didn't do anything at all. Just put in the cd and its ready to play whatever cds from whatever region code you got. Very lightweight and flat so its easy to carry around and helps save you some space. It did come with a Spanish instruction booklet but there was an English one included but was in a burned cd-rom format. The color of the dvd player I got was a silver/gray one instead of the black dvd player advertised on this page but thats okay as long as it plays all region dvds. Ignore the gripes about instruction manuals-- mine did come with an English photocopy, but it's not really necessary. The very first screen in the setup allows you to switch the language instantly, and after that, it's as straight-forward as any other dvd player. Picture quality is excellent, it doesn't suffer from any video/audio sync issues like similar Toshiba players, and it's free from region restrictions. Excellent choice for any fan of foreign media.
My only complaint isn't with the player at all, but with Amazon's marketing-- this player doesn't have HDMI output, and although HDMI isn't listed in the product description, it is very deceiving to see HDMI cables plastered all over the same page, and to be repeatedly offered deals to buy this player along with HDMI cables. So don't bother adding any HDMI's to your order unless you plan to use them for something else!
