Digital camera Review: Elegant, Refined Equipment

This compact, attractive little piece of equipment gives terrific performance. It is designed beautifully, both from the standpoint of appearance and performance. I particularly like the stand-up design which makes it convenient for use by the bedside. (You don't have to get up to see what you are doing!) And the "tactile" buttons make it easy to operate in low light situations.
The colbalt blue is subtle and good-looking. The radio reception, both AM and FM, is excellent even in our relatively rural area. Sound quality for CD's is about average for a piece of equipment of this size.
I certainly do recommend this to anyone, especially anyone who wants to fit a CD-clock-radio into a relatively small space.

This is an excellent and well designed clock/CD-player/radio from Sony. I've owned several Sony alarm clocks and they have all had well-thought out designs; this one is no exception.
A hallmark of Sony's relatively expensive alarm clocks are excellent sound. For small bedside speakers they sound very good, and so I find it reasonable to use this clock to play bedside music.
The controls are well laid out, you can shut off the alarm with a single button press. However, it several button presses to turn the alarm on, or to disable it (so it doesn't sound the next day). A nice feature is that you can program 3 separate alarms and have one or more active at any time.
Minor quibble is that the LCD is a little too bright. Although there are 3 brightness levels, I could personally have used one more level between the least bright and middle bright levels. The brightest setting could be used as a nightlight.
This is an excellent CD/radio alarm clock and highly recommended.

This clock is pretty expensive, so I was expecting some easy to use features, and at least a weekend alarm. There is nothing easy about this clock, and the features are lacking. For example, once you set the alarm, it is very easy to un-set it, so you need to make sure it is set before you go to bed every night. And the three alarm modes are radio, buzzer, and CD...not multiple alarms that can be set to go off sequentially. Also, the user interface is not intuitive, so I would not recommend this clock for anyone who has trouble setting up a DVD player.
The other issue is that is clock is pretty big. If you have a small nightstand, I would consider a smaller cheaper clock.
