Digital camera reviews of Sony ECM-DS70P Electret Condenser Stereo MicrophoneDigital camera Review: Amazing little device! Summary: 5 Stars
This microphone is so tiny, you'd think it wouldn't record anything... well, quite the opposite!! It's a very good microphone. You can just put it on a table and record something in a different room, and it will.
Very good purchase, very good sound. Plus, it's really small, I can put it in my minidisc case and take it anywhere I want, it's very handy. I use it to record piano playing mostly, and also for language purposes (to improve accents in a foreign language) and it's very useful.
Digital camera Review: Awesome microphone, recommend use of a stand. Summary: 5 Stars
This is an EXCELLENT mic. I use this paired with a Olympus VN-4100PC Digital Voice Recorder. The cord which comes with this has a fabric shroud, which picks up noise, so it's not used. The Mic is very sensitive, and I use it with a Cell Phone Holder (Car type with a suction cup) as a Microphone stand. The clarity of the Mic is very good, it's used to record Podcasts with guest speakers as part of a mobile studio setup. Highly recommended!
Digital camera Review: BANGIN' MINI MIC Summary: 5 Stars
This is perfect for audio enthusiasts. I use this for a million different reasons, I continue to be suprised at the quality, in such a small device. BUY and ENJOY...
Digital camera Review: Beware of bootlegs Summary: 4 Stars
I took a chance and purchased this mic from the seller with the lowest price. I paid less than ten bucks plus shipping so I'm not too upset. Turns out what I recieved is a knock-off. The sound is terrible when plugged into my Kodak ZI8. If you are paying much less than the retail price for this item, be cautious. Do some searches for ECM-DS70P bootleg to find out more.
Digital camera Review: Clandestine delight Summary: 4 Stars
I've been using mine with excellent results for 4 years now. I find the stereo separation acceptable under most circumstances. I use Sony MZ R700, R900, and MZ N1, and I can't tell one from the others under most recordings. It CAN be overloaded/distorted, but I've only found that in cases of really bad room acoustics and loud enough to be uncomfortable and distort even my listening. I've never been caught, as the whole rig can be set to "all green but hold final count" status before entering the venue, and then easily hidden as intermission lights come up. Only complaints are that there is no (known) windscreen available, and the clip is not really up to the task, and easily lost. I made a replacement with a paper clip and an alligator clip. Elsewise, this mike has been the single consistent tool in my mission to preserve live music shows. All of which are folk & alt.country.
