Graet camera, I recommend it for both the amature and the semi-professionals photographer.
I really like it.
The only thing is that the format in which it records (.mts) it can be played by very limited palyers or you have to purchase a blue ray DVD writer and palyer.

Using this to records kids events, etc. Works fantastic most of the time. Camera does have some trouble at sporting events at dusk/early evening. Seems to have trouble focusing during these times. Awesome picture, features, etc. The software bundled does a pretty good job of importing videos. That is about all it can do. I am struggling to find real editing software for AVCHD. Thinking of just going with SONY Vegas based on comments from friends and coworkers. These videos eat up a LOT of disc space. Now looking for a new computer with MASSIVE processor/memory/storage WITH a Blu ray burner. It should not be this difficult. I am shooting everything full HD. Why else buy an HD camera right? My only recommendation is to shoot the essential moments you need. By comparing powered up camcorders at the local Best Buy I found that the
speed of zooming and of focusing was noticably faster with this model
over the SR11 and other companies' HD camcorders.
Bought it. Picture quality is great for both movies and still shots.
Appreciated the price on Amazon. Order was filled quickly and accurately.

Hey, I bought this camera recently and am impressed with its quality. However, I have a problem. I am unable to transfer video taken in HD mode to my computer(PIV Service Pack II, 2GB RAM,320GB Hard Disc space and 3.05Ghz processor)
The video is all in MTS Stream and when downloaded in the PC, it plays back very slowly and with jerks, while the same video plays perfectly and then some, on the TV, when the camera is connected to the TV directly.
The software is installed but.......I need help guys!!
