Digital camera reviews of Sony HTCT100 Sound Bar with Subwoofer - Black

Digital camera Review: Big bang for your buck
Summary: 5 Stars

Bought the Sony HTCT100 from Amazon several weeks ago and can't be more pleased. I did not want to dump alot of money into an expensive componet system and also did not want to run speaker wire all over the house to create a true 5.1 surround experience. I have the Sony Bravia 46 inch Z series LCD and the Sony BP350 BD along with AT&T UVerse HD. The HTCT100 works beautifully to create rich full sound with little space requirements. Do yourself a favor and get HDMI to connect this puppy and change the sound level to plus 6 on the center speaker and plus 3 on the sub. The sound really does fill up a room and simulated surround does have some effect when positioned in front of speaker bar. You might also want to add the Sony Digital Music componet as well.

Digital camera Review: Big sound in a small package
Summary: 5 Stars

The Sony HTCT100 is a great alternative as a home audio system for people with limited space. This may not be the best sounding speakers you can find, but i can assure you that for the price you pay (i paid around $200 from Amazon with free shipping)you will not be disappointed. I like the fact you can hook up your XBOX360, PS3, and TV all through the HDMI cable. It works seamlessly and it truly transformed my video game experience! My DVD and Blu ray movies sound awesome! And even watching TV has been made more enjoyable. Lets face it, your speakers on your LCD or plasma are no where near the quality that do the picture quality justice. Again it may not be the best sounding speakers on the market, but if you are like me and you dont have a lot of space to work with, these speakers are a GREAT VALUE purchase that will make your entertainment experience that much more enjoyable.

Digital camera Review: Buy this only if you are looking for tech convenience not for sound
Summary: 3 Stars

I was on lookout for a decent soundbar and not on a big budget. The sony HTCT100 seemed to fit well within my budget. But I was very disappointed on the sound front.

Pros
Looks good
Lots of inputs
HDMI switching capability
Works well with Bravia.

Cons
Not enough /good sound.

Bottomline if you are looking for better sound you will be disappointed.
I did not think it did much better than my TV speakers(yes although I will admit it added a little more base notes).

But I was not willing to spend 300 for that. So I returned this.

Digital camera Review: CT100 Worth it
Summary: 4 Stars

Was pleased with the CT100 with a few small exceptions. Good sound quality at this price. For regular TV watching, it would be nice if it could go a bit louder but overall it is a great improvement over the TV's internal speaker. It really excels with a Blu-Ray player. Definitely worth the purchase as long as you are not expecting the best audio quality.

Digital camera Review: Call it a Blu-Bar
Summary: 5 Stars

Minimalists rejoice. Perfect if you have an HDMI Blu-Ray player, HDMI settop boxes and HDMI TV. The Blu-Bar competently decodes and plays the advanced audio codecs of Blu-Ray (LPCM). Sounds good. Not powerful enough for large rooms.
