Digital camera reviews of Sony High Definition Minidv Videocassette (2-Pack)Digital camera Review: Good Quality But Unnecessary Summary: 1 Stars
These are fine tapes, but there is no need to spend so much money on them.
By design, DV and HDV tapes are identical.
The only difference is the price.
Digital camera Review: Great Combo for HD Cameras Summary: 5 Stars
I use Canon XHA1 HD camcorder. This tape works like a charm.
The price is affordable and good companion for HD camcorder.
If you settle for non HD tapes, you are taking risk.
Digital camera Review: Great HD MiniDV tapes! Great to work with this seller Summary: 5 Stars

Digital camera Review: Great Performing HD MiniDV Tape - Recommended Summary: 5 Stars
Sony MiniDV tape has always worked well in our SD camcorders (Canon and Panasonic) and now that we moved to HD (Canon VIXIA HV40 HD HDV Camcorder with 10x Optical Zoom), the Sony "DVC HD MiniDV" tapes are the only ones we plan to use.
The playback quality is just amazing and we have never noticed any errors in our recordings. This is very important to us since we film instructional videos for our family business and need to be sure that the video is perfect every time.
Highly Recommended!
Digital camera Review: Great Quality Video Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent quality. No issues. I'm an engineer who's into technology, not a picky video editor, and I am very pleased with these. I use them in my canon HD videocam. I have since bought a larger pack of cheaper miniDVs from my big-box store. Also, you will not notice anything different between miniDV and miniDV HD. They use a higher quality standard... which I opted for since I essentially went the miniDV route to have an "instant backup" of all video I shot (and transferred to PC).
