Dispite what others have written about this product, this is a fine radio. NOAA channel comes in clear as a bell. Other stations come in without any issue either. The Sony radio I bought from Etronics is everything I wanted it to be. It has good sound for a small portable radio and duel power, plus weather and tv stations which I wanted for power outage emergencies. I just purchased this radio for my home office so I could listen to the radio while I'm working on my computer. I'm very impressed by the number of stations I can get. The sound quality is good, and there's even a high/low tone switch which emphasizes either bass or treble, depending on your preference.
I get a lot of TV and radio stations and there is a tuning LED which helps you easily tune in stations. Although the tuning isn't digital, it still works very well.
Additionally, the radio has a nice size and weight to it, which leads me to believe that it would be pretty solid and reliable for many years to come.
I'm sure there are better radios out there, but for under $30, this might be the best value out there.

The radio is lightweight, compact and sturdy, perfect to take on construction sites. Fits well in tool box. Case is hard plastic. Considering small size and radio has only one speaker, the sound quality is very good. The signal reception is clear and strong, no CD player needed. I can pick up radio broadcast signals even in the mountains. I really appreciate the weather band information because I travel all over the state and can run into bad weather at any time. The battery life is also excellent. All in all, the price was right and Sony delivers a great product. The company shipped it fast too. Very pleased with purchase.
