I replaced our old Sony AM/FM Clock radio (it finally broke after 41 years)I am pleased with our new one so far. The tone is not bad .....clock is easy to read ...... I read some of your reviews on this item, and several of them complained that the digital clock was too dim to read in the daytime. Sony must have changed that because mine is very easy to read. The best AM/FM clock radio I've ever had. Why? - LARGE green number display with variable brightness control and compact design. These were my three top requirements for purchasing. Also is very stylish, with easy to use controls (has High/Low alarm volumes). Radio has exceptional tone quality. Great price too.
