Digital camera reviews of Sony ICF-CD7000BLK AM/FM Stereo CD Clock RadioDigital camera Review: Clock/Radio Summary: 4 Stars
Great little clock/radio. I do not hear too well and the alarm buzzer is alittle weak for me.
Digital camera Review: Could be better for the price Summary: 3 Stars
For the price this should be better than it is. Over all the design is pretty good and I like the soft blue LCD screen. I've got it set on the lowest setting and it is about right for my dark room. I turn it up when I need a night light and not wake up my wife in the middle of the night by hitting the snooze bar a few times. The radio reception is acceptable but does have trouble getting stations that are far away and there is noticeable station bleed from other nearby frequencies unless the station signal is strong.
It is a clock radio so I wasn't expecting stellar sound quality but it could be better here as well. The sound quality is about what I used to get on an old transistor radio I used to have as a kid. But it is in stereo! :-) Sony....there are more frequencies than just between 2k and 10k. Put a little bass in the mix with larger drivers or a better sealed resonance chamber.
One feature that took getting used to is that if you don't go through the alarm settings correctly it doesn't accept it. Meaning you may think you set the alarm but when finished the alarm doesn't display. That is your clue that you didn't do it right. Now that I know how it's done it's no big deal but be careful the first time you use it and be sure to read the directions.
The one thing I was really disappointed in is that it doesn't play MP3 CD's. I didn't read the literature that closely and when I saw that it was MP3 compatible I thought it meant more than just the axillary input. My bad on that part, but for the price I assumed it was.
Over all it is a decent clock radio but fell short with sound quality. You could do worse though as most others I tried (Sharp, Emerson, Phillips, Timex, Memorex) didn't sound any better. I'll be keeping it since I don't have the cash to get a Bose or Sangean.

Digital camera Review: Difficult Alarm Summary: 3 Stars
I am finding it difficult to figure out the alarm setup in this model. It goes off at noon daily and finding the button to shut off is not so easy. For Sony, not their usual quality. The case is poorly designed. Disappointed in my purchase.
Digital camera Review: Disappointed in the sound quality Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this Sony to replace the same basic model we bought about 5 years ago. The old one's cord broke off close to the plug. It has the same great features and is just what we wanted for our kitchen but we are really disappointed in the difference in sound quality and reception. The new model sounds very tinny and it doesn't pick up the same stations we were able to get before. It isn't enjoyable listening to CDs and even the radio sounds like it is in a pail. Especially for the price I was expecting more from Sony. If I knew how to return it easily I probably would.
