Digital camera reviews of Sony ICF-S79V Weather Band Shower RadioDigital camera Review: Best small radio available Summary: 5 Stars
This Sony radio has outstanding performance. It is capable of loud volume with minimal distortion and has an excellent digital tuner. Battery life is excellent. The packaging is rugged and has style. I've purchaed three in the last few years and have only good things to say about it.
Digital camera Review: Best. Shower Radio. Ever. Summary: 5 Stars
This is a classic little gizmo. We've used one since the late '90s and, even though the OFF button has long since worn through, it still works like a charm.
I've purchased others as gifts for bewildered friends and once they've spent a little time with it they love it.
Target and other stores have stopped selling them as off-the-shelf retail, but I hope SONY continues to make this little C-battery shower radio and doesn't screw it up with any "improvements."
Digital camera Review: Better Than Singing In The Shower Summary: 5 Stars
With buttons offering instant access to the listener's choice of preset stations, and good reception, this shower radio has been a big hit in my house. The digital clock is also a nice feature, but is a bit hard to read by night-light if you're checking the time during a late-night bio-break. This is a fine product.
Digital camera Review: Better than expected Summary: 5 Stars
This is the latest in a long line of radios we have bought for the shower and this is by far the best. The sound quality for talk radio is great and that is what we mostly use it for. For music it is mono but still good quality. The controls are very easy to use as compared to other shower radios. Overall a purchase I would make again.
Digital camera Review: Better than most radios - period Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent product - in 10 years I have only replaced the batteries three (3) times!!! That other fellow had to have had a defective product - should have gotten a replacement.
Only radio in the house that tunes in C-SPAN radio 90.1 near Washington, DC. Used it during the huge blackout in northeastern US summer of 2003. Comes in handy on holiday in the Adirondacks when the power goes out around the lake.
Have to say that I own SONY everything - they never wear out, especially picture tubes going on 20 years. Why can't all companies be like that?!!
