This radio is a replacement for a Grundig S350 AM/FM/Shortwave radio, for acess to EWTN. The Sony is working out well. Reviews related the battery life was good. Probably so if the radio is used occassionally. What we consider normal use, uses up the batteries quickly. We have to get the converter, which is an added expense.Digital camera Review: Ehhhhhh...

Compré no sólo el Sony sino tambien el Grundig Satellit 150. En cuanto a la sensibilidad y recepción está mucho mejor el Sony que el Grunding. La apariencia del Grundig, la facilidad de manejo y el sonido es mucho mejor. El uso de la antena externa mejora la señal en ambos. La batería dura poco, no era de esperar menos si se quiere alta sensibilidad y calidad en sintonía así que recomiendo mantener dos conjuntos de bateria recargables. No uso adaptador porque, en general, crea mucho ruido a las señales débiles. En términos generales estoy muy contento con ambos, uno para viaje y el otro para casa.Digital camera Review: Excellent Radio

I have owned this radio for 6 months. I use it at work and it lasts 3-4 days on batteries. It is easy to control and has no trouble picking up anything with the built in antenna. AM reception is excellent and it picks up the shortwave stations very well.
