Digital camera Review: A Good Value

This is a very good small portable radio. It is NOT a Bose or a Tivoli... it is a compact little portable with good reception on AM and FM. It has very good sound and the twenty-dollar price tag makes it one of the better bargains to be had. It is not really "pocket size" as the description calls it (unless you wear a trench coat) but will slip into a briefcase or bag with no problem. I use it in the shop to listen to FM while working and am very happy with it. I live in northern Vermont where there are no local stations but I can pick up most regional AM and FM stations in Canada, Vermont, and New York with good reception. The earphone jack is mono, but you can get a small mono-to-stereo adapter plug for your stereo earphones for a couple of dollars. This radio is a bargain.Digital camera Review: A Great Radio

This radio has really great reception for the station I listen to. (I haven't tested it on other stations.) The sound quality is great. The controls are very easy to operate. And the footprint is small, which is good, because it sits on my desk, and there isn't much free space on my desk.
There is only one negative with this radio: When I turn it on or off (control is on the top near the right), if I am not careful, one of my fingers will touch the tuning control (control is on the right near the top) and change the station. The natural tendency is to "grab" the radio with one of your fingers, while your thumb is on the top turning it on or off, in order to hold the radio in place while you are sliding the on-off control. Unfortunately, the tuning control is right where your finger lands when you do this. However, you can slide the control with no problem without holding the radio in place.
When I broke the habit of putting my finger on the side of the radio when turning it on or off, this problem vanished.
As long as you are mindful of this when turning the radio on or off, there is no problem with this radio.
I would buy another one if I needed another radio.

I just purchased two of these radios, none of which are for me. Because I am a radio junky I have three of them myself, one for kitchen and one for two of my bathrooms. The sound is very good and a heck of a lot better than other radios I have, with the exception of my Bose. Price is great and the batteries last for a very long time.

This is an excellent radio by Sony. I was very impressed when it arrived today. It's a simple radio with FM and AM bands and sounds great. The size is perfect to carry around outdoors, to the beach, or when you are working on-the-go. I love that it takes just 4 AA batteries (I use rechargeable) and also has a plug-in. I have no regrets purchasing this radio. Nice sound and nice price too.
