After the first nine months of light use the CD tray started eating CDs... Resulting in having to pull them out from where they would jam between the tray and the chassis. Obviously, this caused scrapes on the CD, resulting in having to toss any stuck CDs in the trash. No worry, it has completely stopped working and now it's just a radio.
The unit's FM reception has always been poor, unless I completely stretch out the power cord, which contains the antenna. Not a very desirable thing to do unless you like white wires hanging from your kitchen cabinet. Setting the clock time is not intuitive.... And changing radio stations is a time consuming process.
The sound is not horrible, which is about it's only positive attribute I guess...

I was looking to replace my under the counter kitchen radio which died after 1&1/2 years, I wasn't happy 6 months after warranty ran out my GPX brand just stopped working. So I went out web shopping for a slim line under the counter radio again.I"m thankful for Amazon's reviews because the radio I had my eyes on had bad reviews. It was a "GE", the Sony had excellent reviews & was the slim line I needed, therefore I purchased it I am very happy with its perfomance it brings in many more stations & is so much easier to function.I love it!!!!Digital camera Review: Asset to the kitchen

This radio/CD player has a remarkably good sound quality. It is convenient to operate with additional functions of a clock and timer. It also has a remote control. In appearance, it is larger and flatter than I
anticipated but good looking. I had a carpenter iinstall it but can be done by anyone with some competence with tools. I am most impressed with the price and quality of this Sony product. Since I have just recently purchased and had it installed I will follow closely its functioning over the long term.

I bought this for my mom because she loves to cook and while cooking she enjoys listening to music. She said it was one of the greatest gifts she ever received. It is really cool; it has a cd player, radio, and plays your I-pod. The only thing is the radio does not come in that clear; we think it is to far away from a window. Other than that we are very happy with the product.
