Digital camera Review: Caution - The backup battery contacts are delicate!

I order this based on excellent reviews and it was pretty much as advertised. I ended up sending it back though. I pulled out the battery tray on the underside to see if the watch-style backup battery had a plastic tab to pull. It didn't. Upon trying to reinsert the little tray, one of the metal contacts (they both stay fixed way up in there) was bent becuase the tray is allowed to be inserted askew. Pointed nose pliers were no help...the battery error would not be appeased. Bad design, in my opinion. This was a Christmas purchase for a family member. I was having problems find a CD player that could be mounted at my local stores. Most anything is now Ipod or other MP3 device, my sister doesn't own either of these so found this on Amazon. The only thing I can slightly complain about was price but that was to be expected because it's a Sony device and as I hinted at most everything has shifted to Ihome or something similar. Bought this as a christmas present for my mother. It works great, but I felt like it was a bit overpriced at about $70. Only reason why it could be worth this amount is because of the rarity of these devices nowadays. The radio arrived quickly (from placing order to delivery was 5 days). The installation was easy,but it took me an extra hour to sink the screw heads (o/w would interfere with my plates).
Everything worked great after installation. However, 8 hours later (overnight), everything except the clock stopped working. None of the buttons worked. Maybe the radio was damaged during transportation. My pure bad luck.
Give 2 stars because of the friendly and helpful customer service. Sony customer service promised to mail us a shipping label for shipping the radio back to Sony and to send us a new replacement.

Installed this in basement kitchen. No issues with reception. Sound quality is more than sufficient for kitchen. Love the additional timer for cooking. CD loader conveniently placed. MP3 holder on side. Template perfect for installation. Greatest present I bought for myself so far this year :)
