I bought this 3 years ago, still has the same batteries in it, haven't had to change them yet!! This radio works GREAT! I have a teenager who loves it. It has hung in our shower for over 3 years now. I highly recommend it. Quality product. Clear sounding. You can set your favorite stations on it. Tv doesn't work anymore now that tv has gone digital but radio is great!!! I've used it during power outages to listen to the news too!Digital camera Review: 4.5 stars!

this radio has really good sound I listen to it while im in the shower and yeah, my neighbors have complained about my singing but who cares...
it comes with a cord, so i hang it to the shower curtine, also has a cable antenna with a suction cup.
-battery seems to last a lot!
-I set it to less than half of its volume with the shower on.
-big buttons on top, it also seems to take water abuse!
would like it a little smaller, mmm actually thats fine this is something that you will keep in the bath

Having used several shower radios, this model exceeeds all other ones by a large margin. Outstanding features such as preset stations, a functional antenna, great reception, and good looks. The Sony ICFS79W Radio works well as other reviewers have indicated. I do indeed have this in my bathroom and like the idea that the unit seems to be well sealed from water vapor, though I do not use it directly in the shower.
The sound is decent yet it does not have seperate adjustments for bass and treble and tuning works well with the ability to lock on signals, even AM.
Certainly worth the asking price, probably more rated only 4 stars as it is batteries only, no AC converter included or available.

I seldom post reviews, but I'm so pleased with this product that I'm happy to recommend it. I received it as a gift several years ago and use it several times a week. I have never had to change the batteries and it gets excellent reception.
