Digital camera reviews of Sony MDR-EX51LP Fontopia HeadphonesDigital camera Review: $200 headphones for $25 Summary: 5 Stars
These headphones are awesome! Immediately, the first thing I noticed was a FULL range of sound, from the deepest of basses to the highest of trebles. You won't believe how well these headphones recreated the full audio spectrum! These sound almost as good as my $100 studio headphones, only these are quite portable!
Digital camera Review: $39.99 for comfort? Summary: 2 Stars
I bought these and it sucks!!! The only thing that is good about this is the comfort and can block outside sound. (3 different sizes....wow....(sarcastic)) You cannot share headphones because this is the type that goes behind you. If you have a lot of earwax....it will catch it!!! Yuck!!! The bass is okay, but not as loud than the other ones. The case that came with it was small and I dont know how to use it. The Sony MDRE828LP is alot better. It has the same amount of bass, louder sound, and the wind up case is well worth it. Oh yeah....its 3x smaller in $.
Digital camera Review: 100% Joy. Summary: 5 Stars
These are probably the most expensive ear-bud phones I've seen. I bought mine from an independent hi-fi store so they were full on retail price (plus a few quid extra for fun.)
Still, they are by far the best ones I've ever used, they fit neatly and securely in your ear, (three different sizes of rubber ear "sleeves" make sure of this), and the reproduction quality is fantastic through all frequencies.
These will be with me for a long time I hope, and as soon as I loose them I'm going to just buy another pair, no need to worry about quality with these, or is there something else better out there... they really are superb.
Sony scores big with me for this one, I've never known ear-bud's like these...
* comfort: 100%
* sound quality: 100%
Digital camera Review: 2 pairs in 6 months! Very poorly constructed product. Summary: 1 Stars
I have purchased 2 pairs in less than 6 month and both have suffered from same spliting of the connector cable, and subsequent loss of sound in one of the earpieces.The customer pictures above are precisely what happened to mine. VERY poor construction for a somewhat $37.99 product, my 10.00 pair has comprable sound quality and is 10 times as durable.
I also had the pleasure of contacting Sony about the product and was subjected to a very long hold time(over 25 minutes!)and a rude and condescending rep who thought it was outrageous that I didn't keep reciepts for every purchase I have ever made. They basically agreed to "replace" the product if I sent the old ones back and paid for a new pair. Shame on you Sony! This is the last of your products I ever purchase!
Digital camera Review: 4th Pair and counting.... Summary: 2 Stars
There are two ways to review these headphones. One is looking at the quality of the sound these produce. For the price, I haven't heard much better.
The other merit to judge these headphones is the quality of "crap"manship. My first pair crapped out in a month. I might have been a little rough on them, but I didn't use them as a bungie cord. Warranty was good and they sent me a new pair. Then those broke. Once again warranty replaced them. So I've had my current pair for about a year. I use them casually and carefully. (I have a pair of Panasonic Ear buds that I can actually use in a daily manner. They were made to handle today's life. The only thing with the Panasonic Earbuds, is that the cord is 6 feet long! I don't need to be able to roam around the house without moving my iPod.)
Then today I am listening to them. Someone starts talking to me and I pull them out of my ears. When I go to put them back, the right ears isn't working AGAIN!!!!!!!
Time to call Sony and yell at someone just loud enough to get a new pair. As long as Sony keeps replacing them, these are the greatest headphones ever!
