To all who says these have no bass at all. You need to find the right ear bud size!! It comes with 3 different sizes. I was just about to return these until I switched it with the bigger ear cushion. BINGO! Rich sounding bass. Recommended highly!!Digital camera Review: Awesome!

These earphones have fine sound and with 3 sets of variable sized ear plugs a comfortable fit is nearly guaranteed.
But they have a serious flaw. They have a short cord which is fine if the MP3 player will be kept in a shirt pocket or on an armband. But for other placement, on the waist or pant pocket, for example, Sony provides an extension cord. A good idea to make the product more flexible one would think.
Unfortunately, with my unit when the earphone cord was fully and properly seated into the extension, all sound to the right earphone was cut off. I could get the extension to work by partially inserting the jack, but then it would tend to fall out.
Amazon customer service was very responsive and sent a replacement pair. But guess what....exact same problem!
It appears Sony has some kind of quality control problem with the extension cord outlet matching up with the earphone jack. And I needed the extra length the extension would provide.
If you plan to always use them without the extension you will have no lost sound problems, but the extension cord flaw for me ruined what otherwise would be an excellent product.
I am very pleased with the excellent customer service I received from Amazon, but not at all pleased with Sony.

These were recommended by a great friend and I am extremely glad I took her recommendation. I like ear buds but could never find a comfortable pair that I could wear whilst snoozing on a plane without waking up to find my ear canal throbbing until now. I can wear these for hours at a time and never get "earbud ear", nor do they come out when I am running a few miles of trail. Oh did I mention that these have the great sound quality that you expect from Sony. Well worth the few bucks that you will pay.
