My Brother bought me these a year ago and they are the best ear buds I have ever come across and I have tried quite a few including some "Noise Cancelling" ones.
The sound is great with a nice bass response, they are a snug fit and cut out a lot of the exterior noise which is great for airplanes where they work as well as, if not better than, some more expensive noise cancelling buds I have tried. They also work well on the train or bus.
I havent had any of the problems that some other reviewers report, my cables are fine and show no sign of "rot"
Personally I like the cable design as well, despite what others say.
As some other reviewers have already mentioned the off set lengths allow you to run the right ear piece cable behind your neck and it also brings the down lead out to one side rather than down the middle, like some other buds. This makes for much neater cabling when you have your iPod/MP3 player in a jacket pocket.
I also like the short cable as this makes things even neater when you have your MP3 player in your shirt pocket, no need to find somewhere to stuff the extra cord!
I originally used these for my iPod but also now use them (with a longer extension cord) with my XBox 360 when I play late at night.
My Only Criticisms
1. The Box is pretty flimsy and the lid keeps falling off when you try and fit everything in it but I replaced this with a small candy tin (Altoids Chewing gum for those who are interested)
2. There was no Airplane adapter included but these are cheap and easy to pick up and fit quite neatly along with the buds and cables in the tin mentioned above.
3. I lost one of the silicon tips and cant get them via Amazon, anyone know where I can pick these up easily?
All round I am extremely pleased with these and wouldn't hesitate to buy another set

Excellent isolation and sound.
However after less than a year of use the wiring insulation become dark and was falling apart. I fairly careful with them too, but they're just made of really low quality plastic/rubber.
I recommend the Creative Headphones EP-630 which I got as a replacement. The build quality is better but the bass is not as good as the Sony's.

These are a great pair of headphones that have lasted me for over a year and a half. They have fantastic sound and rich bass that sound great on my white MP3 player. The sound isolation is superb due to the three sizes of ear fittings.
After a year and a half though, the cords rotted. The cables deteriorated, exposed the wiring and short-circuited. It is an extreme disappointment that these great sounding phones would break, but the cables just fell apart. I would buy them again if they were as cheap as they once were.
