Digital camera Review: Excellent Product...I LOVE it :)
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this item a few weeks ago and absolutely LOVE it. It works perfect and I highly recommend it.

Digital camera Review: I LOVE THEM!
Summary: 5 Stars

These puppies are well worth the money spent for my purposes - watching TV at night. My husband likes to go to bed at a normal hour which is 10 pm, according to him. I, on the other hand, have a much later internal sleep pattern. We've had to make compromises to keep the peace but neither of us is very happy about it.

We've tried plenty of TV headphones but none of them were keepers. These Sony headphones are great! It was easy to connect to our TV (we have a LCD Samsung) and were up and running after charging for a couple of hours. I use them most nights without any complaints from my husband who requires complete silence to sleep. When watching scary movies, the great stereo effect of these headphones is suitablely spooky. The volume is a rotating wheel on the right headphone next to the on/off toggle. These controls can be easily found and used in the dark. It has a small red light when they are on. The headphones are marked "left" and "right" for proper usage and it makes a difference if you wear them backwards. The headphones rest in a fitted tray that also charges them for future use.

I have been married close to 10 years now and my nocturnal nature has been an issue from day 1. My husband added these to his Wish List and thankfully they were purchased. Marital discord has been avoided and it cost under $40!

Digital camera Review: Best product for the job!
Summary: 5 Stars

We have purchased three different headsets. My husband is very hard of hearing and this one is the best both for him and for me. He can crank up the volume, and I can mute the TV if I don't want to hear what he is watching! It is saving my hearing as well! This is our second Sony...only because we wanted one in each location we have a TV, not because it didn't work. Others do not have the same options for the non-user. Our first one is about two years old. Replaced the battery only once and he uses it every day!

Digital camera Review: Pleasantly Surprised, But Some Issues
Summary: 3 Stars

Good reception, sound quality fine for video but not ideal for music, won't fit children or adults with small heads.

I'm please with these phones. I've had no problem with reception, and the sound is good for watching movies and TV. However, the sound is too bass-heavy and treble-light to be good for music (at least classical music).

They are made for people with big heads. I have a big head, and I barely expand the phones at all to wear them. For my big cranium, they're pretty comfortable. My wife has a relatively small head and she can't use them at all. I'm going to try to rig a thick cushion for the cross bar so she can wear them, but why should that be necessary? If you intend to use these for children or adults with small heads, buy something else.

Digital camera Review: Good Value Wireless Headphones - Recommended
Summary: 4 Stars

The Sony MDR-IF240RK Wireless Headphones are decent value priced headphones that resolved the issue of the sound from my son's video games bothering us in the living room. In fact, they work substantially better than I expected after reading some of the recent negative reviews posted on Amazon. Here are my observations:

The setup was fairly easy, plug the base unit in with the included power supply, connect the audio cables to the base unit and the source (our TV did not have the correct output for the included cables - See "Cons" below), put in a battery (AAA or the included rechargeable), turn them on and you are in business.

Pros -
+ Easy To Setup - See above
+ Uses Standard AAA or Included Rechargeable Battery (recharges on the base unit)
+ Comfortable Fit - These are fairly lightweight and can be worn for hours
+ Decent Sound Quality - For games and TV, but not for music
+ long Battery Life - The fully charged headphones last for hours and hours, never had them die on me
+ Reasonably Priced

Cons -
+ Limited Connectivity With Included Cables - The set included a cable with composite (RCA connectors) to mini-phone, but my TV had RCA out so had to use my own RCA to RCA cable (not really a problem for me since I had the extra cable on hand)
+ Limited Range - These are IR and work in "line of sight" to the base unit

Overall these are a very good value for a decent set of wireless headphones but they might not be for everyone, especially not for audiophiles or those wanting to roam around from room to room. They work perfectly for our video games and casual TV usage.

Recommended, with the caveats above.
