Digital camera reviews of Sony MDR-J10 h.ear Headphones with Non-Slip Design (Black)Digital camera Review: Comfortable, Dependable and Reliable Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using these earphones for a few years now, and they seem to last and take the abuse that I give them. They have a nice sound, and they are super comfortable to wear. They don't jostle around in my ear forcing me to constantly have to readjust them. Besides, they are super affordable too. I tried some of the more expensive stick in the ear kind (with the rubber ends for comfort), and they keep wanting to fall out when I turn my head. I felt like a robot. Not so with these. Good luck.
Digital camera Review: Comfortable, Great Sound, Break Frequently Summary: 4 Stars
The Achilles heel with these headphones is the fact that they break a lot. What happens is sound will stop coming in to one side. Ive tried jury rigging a fix by resoldering the wires and whatnot, but it never works. What makes all of this so frustrating is that they are cheap, comfortable, dont fall off, dont need to pressurize with your ear, and barring those hulking headphones these things produce the best sound. It is a far superior sound to the tinny no-bass earbud styles that I have tried.
Another aspect that may influence your decision: These headphones do not isolate you from the world around you as well as earbuds. This means that you can both hear what is going on around you, and others can hear your music. Turning the music up can alleviate the former but it will only make the latter worse.
Choose your own destiny but I cant handle these breaking about twice a year.
Edit (Some time Later): I want to add here that I continued to use these even though they broke a lot. I stopped using things like treadmills and elliptical machines in the gym and no longer have a problem with them breaking. I believe it is sweat dripping into the speakers that causes them to break as they did with me. I upped the stars from 3-4 as I think the issue has been relegated to a minor design flaw for me. I wouldn't buy these if you want to use them during exercise routines.
Digital camera Review: Comfortable, but not great sound Summary: 3 Stars
These headphones are pretty comfortable and are nice in that they stay on easily. But the sound seems to only go half into my ears. Maybe my ears are shaped funny, but the speaker seems to be pointed in an odd direction, so that it half goes in the ear and half goes to the outside. I still use them, but am not entirely thrilled.
Digital camera Review: Comfortable, reliable, decent sound for low price point. Great Buy! Summary: 4 Stars
I use them daily for drowning out the noise of the office around me, and the first pair held up under daily use (8-10hrs a day) for almost 3 years. Before that they were used for jogging/workouts, they fit comfortably and wont fall off your ears while running or laying down for ab workouts/bench exercises.
This is my second purchase of this model of headphone. Until these things prove me wrong, I'll keep coming back for more.
Digital camera Review: Crappy Summary: 1 Stars
I bought these to go with a new .mp3 player (when they were full price no less) and they did not last a day. The clips are uncomfortable over time, they hold in an odd position, and the speaker is at an odd angle, where they point forward of you, rather then in towards your head. I could not wear them for a shift at work, and so they sit on my desk while I use the free earbuds that came with the player.
I write this review, as I search for some new headphones to buy.
