Digital camera reviews of Sony MDR-NC6 Noise Canceling HeadphonesDigital camera Review: Decent Summary: 3 Stars
I puchased these blindly based solely on the Sony reputation. The sound was fine. These are not the most comfortable and they have a cheap plastic feel. If I could do it again I would not purchase these. You get what you pay for, 35$ headphones.
Digital camera Review: Decent Phones Summary: 3 Stars
These are fairly decent headphones that do a reasonable job of reducing noise. They are worth the money, but I find myself wishing I would have bit the bullet and went for a more expensive pair. If this is all you can afford you will do well with them, if you can spend more, do it. They are comfortable and can be worn for hours, without a problem. I would rate the noise reduction about a six on a scale of one to ten (ten being best). The quality of the sound reproduction is fine, probably about seven and a half on the same scale. There is a "sweet spot" placement area on each ear where the cancellation works best and this is kind of a pain to find sometimes. Incidentally, don't cup your hands around the ears while the canceling is turned on... wicked squeal.
In summation: audio reproduction - 7.5, noise canceling - 6, comfort - 8, and convenience 7.
Digital camera Review: Decent headphones Summary: 4 Stars
For the money, these are decent noise-reducing headphones. Frankly, I bought them to use on long flights, but discovered that they (like all other noise-reducing phones) only cut out part of the background noise. So I bought the Shure in-the-ear earbuds for $70. These things use little foam inserts that you compress and wedge inside your ears. Wow! Almost complete noise elimination and superior fidelity! Tiny storage requirements too! Only problems are that (1)you can't hear what the flight attendant is saying to you, and (2)you discover your ears weren't that clean when you remove them.
So these headphones are a reasonable solution if you can't/won't want to use earbuds.

There is absolutely no noise canceling to these headphones. As headphones they have decent sound, but the noise canceling actually increases the noise at times. Short cord, okay for travel or walking but not much use at home.
Do not buy for the noise canceling. Definitely $35 headphones.
Digital camera Review: Decent headphones at great price Summary: 4 Stars
The noise-cancelling feature on these headphones is not all that spectacular, but what can you really expect from a set of headphones this cheap? I think they're a good buy for the price and would probably buy them again. I also like how the cord only connects to the one side, making them a very comfortable and easy to wear fit.
