I have been in the entertainment industry for thirty five plus years .. Watching to pros around me use these headphones must have stuck in my head .. I just started a new business, needed headphones and the MDRV600s became the obvious choice .. They are comfortable to wear - Have a long cable and seem to reproduce a fine spectrum of natural sound .. I love these things .. I just wonder why I waited this long .. Construction and sound quality are very good with all parts padded. The set is adjustable as far as the top cross piece being adjusted up or down. The plug in cord is quite ample in length and has a larg section that is coiled so there isn't a lot of cord hanging in "the way". The only complaint I have is I found the phones to be a bit uncomfortable and heavy. The band across the top bothered my head and the phones don't stay on properly when the top band is moved say to the back of my head. There is no adjustment for width. I purchased these headphones to use with my Holosync discs and a small Sony Discman. The only problem, if you want to call it one, was the standard large to small adapters (the headsets are made with the larger Studio-sized jack) don't really like the weight of the cord that goes into the headset. If I were to do it all over again, I would purchase the adapter Sony sells to go with the headset instead of trying to use one of the ones I had laying around the house.
The quality on these headphones is amazing! When I close my eyes it feels like I'm standing in the middle of the music. Holosync discs are a personal growth product that include imbedded and odd-level sounds to make your brain work better so you can't have noise-canceling headphones. These may be studio-sized, but they are comfortable enough to fall asleep wearing (I sleep on my back though and use about four pillows) even though they are sturdily made.
If you're a true lover of music, these headphones are a must...just make sure you buy the Sony jack adapter if you're going to use them with an iPod or portable CD or DVD player.

I'm using them as headphones for my laptop and they sound great. No complaints and they are extremely comfortable. Long cord with plug adaptor to fit a receiver. I bought these headphones after noticing that this is the model used in the listening exhibits at the Experience Music Project in Seattle. The sound quality is amazing--it not only amplifies every nuance of what you're listening to, but also blocks out any ambient noise due to its padded, surround-the-ear design. My husband watches soccer matches (and cheers loudly) in the same room, and I can listen to my iTunes in peace with no distraction whatsoever. Great product and well worth the price.
