Digital camera reviews of Sony MDRQ22LP Ear Clip

Digital camera Review: Comfortable Headphones
Summary: 4 Stars

These are extremely comfortable headphones to wear when lounging around. I watch a lot of video on my Ipod and these are very comfortable. I really like the ease of putting them over my ears. There is a little noise leakage when your volume is fairly high. They were extremely easy to untangle when I was in a hurry and just tossed them in my bag. Gym use they are okay but while running I felt them slipping and not held very firmly in place. Strength training and other cardio are fine though. I love the L shaped jack (less likely to break - my biggest problem with headphones) and I really enjoy only having the cord come down from the left ear piece. Overall I would have given 4.5 stars but I have only had them a couple of weeks and cannot vouch for durability.

Digital camera Review: Comfortable and cheap; mediocre sound
Summary: 3 Stars

As the title said, these are eminently functional headphones, and about the best price you'll find for a decent pair. My ears will not fit the standard ear buds, and I'm constantly searching for a good pair that go over the back of the ear. These are very affordable and durable (my last pair lasted for seven years), but they don't give great sound quality and will leave you lacking if you're a music aesthete. For around town and at the gym, though, they're a great buy.

Digital camera Review: Decent
Summary: 3 Stars

These headphones are alright overall. The sound quality is fairly good, and these things are surprisingly durable (only the color caps come off sometimes when you drop them, but the headphone itself is unscratched). Also, the price is very cheap. However, the clips are very uncomfortable and only after a half hour my ears were sore. Also the cord tangles much too easily. All in all a decent product.

Digital camera Review: Disappointing customer service. (see amended ending)
Summary: 1 Stars

These headphones were comfortable enough but they only lasted four months. It was difficult to figure out who to write to at Sony and then I was only sent various links, the first of which quite insulted my intelligence by suggesting such actions as "plug the headphones into another piece of equipment to see if they work then." The second link that I was sent helped me find out how much an exchange product (ie, refurbished) would cost: $24! I had only paid $19.99 for them originally and I see here on this website they are even less.
I decided to call customer service b/c they could only register the complaint through the mail. For any real resolution of the issue I was encouraged to call. I got the same answer as above.

I was so disgusted that while I was on hold (for the umpteenth time), I picked up the headphones to complain to my roommate and saw that the cord had break in it. My best guess would be that my cat was playing with them and bit it in two. Well, now I realize that Sony is not at fault for my headphones not working. I told the customer service guy this and we hung up.

I thought about deleting my review but I think people should know that they cannot expect anything from Sony's customer service if they have a problem with a product.

Digital camera Review: Dissapointment is always bitter...
Summary: 2 Stars

These headphones produce great sound, but they make your ears bend in odd-looking ways. Expect to be laughed at, while wearing these in public, because I sure expect to.

The peculiar design of the grips only serve to make it difficult to put on. I spent at least a minute trying to get it right, and when I did get it, it still took about 10 seconds to put them on correctly! Not only that, but they don't feel right. I don't get that oblivious feeling, while wearing them, so it's annoying.

My advice? You'd have more comfort wearing the old MDR-G63LP model.
