Digital camera reviews of Sony MHC-EC55 Mini Hi-Fi Component SystemDigital camera Review: AMAZING SOUND- kills bose or anyone else Summary: 5 Stars
This is a totally awesome product, one of many by Sony, i have yet to be disappointing. I have it on right now on volume 7 (out of 30) and its crystal clear. sounds perfect! louder volumes sound great! no distortion! I listen mostly to rock- right now i have 2 Def Leppard CD's and a Poison CD in the 3 disk changer (and yes im 16 and i love these bands). The sound is awesome on the Rock EQ setting. no haze in the background- just perfect clear music that sounds just like in concert! When listening to AM radio set the EQ to Jazz and any background fuzz is taken out. Simple Installation and simple operation! I love it!
THE VERDICT= I'd buy this for $200 and they sell it for $100 ~~~ BUY IT you own't be dissapointed
Digital camera Review: An excellent sound for College Apartment Dwellers Summary: 4 Stars
This was a Christmas gift for my daughter ... a college student dwelling in a small one bedroom. It has everything you need for listening pleasure!
Digital camera Review: At least it worked for a few months Summary: 1 Stars
This product was a disappointment. The cd player quit working after only a short time. If you're looking for a dependable product, keep looking.
Digital camera Review: Awesome Deal Summary: 5 Stars
This is a GREAT deal for the price. System sounds awesome - a big sound from a compact unit
Digital camera Review: Awesome boom box for the money Summary: 4 Stars
Did quite a bit of reviewing on this product and knew ahead of time that it is a little bit larger than what many would consider a 'mini' but for me that was ok, I knew that and was looking for that, but you might want to check the dimensions.
It is a very handsome boom box. It has EXCELLENT sound that can EASILY fill a large room.
I liked the audio in feature so I can hook up my Sansa mp3 to it and listen. I was suprised that it wasn't the usual rca line in with the red and white cables (which I already had) but rather a 3.5 headphone jack to 3.5 headphone jack hook up. I found one at lowes for under $5 and it sounds great.
I do prefer audio in players that have a wire set up than the radios that have the mp3/iphone 'dock' because with the wire you can actually still hold your mp3 player in your hand (or sit in a close chair) as usual while selecting songs etc.
The only star buster was the speaker wires are kind of short (6'?) and they run sraight into the speakers and can't be disconnected and replaced with longer wire. The speakers are sealed. I would think a radio like this would have wire connectors on the speakers. Where I wanted the speakers on my bookcase the factory wire was not long enough. I had already bought new wire and was quite disappointed that I couldn't easily make that work with the speakers. I ended up splicing them together (new and old wire) and you can probably can find an audiophile who reccommends NOT doing that but my choices were open the sealed speaker(with no visable screws showing), live with the speakers too close, or return the unit. THe sound after splicing still sounds awesome so I must have done a decent job.
All in all I am very happy with this unit and speaker connectors would earn it 5stars.
