Digital camera reviews of Sony MHC-EC55 Mini Hi-Fi Component System

Digital camera Review: Awesome sound!
Summary: 4 Stars

I had been looking for a bookcase-size stereo system with a multi-CD for some time. With the advent of I-pod's and MP-3's, it has become harder to find a unit that isn't expensive and have that feature. Not that I have anything against MP3'S: this unit has the ability to play my MP3 that I have downloaded songs onto. This unit met my expectaions. The sound is great and I can turn it up to hear it in another room without distorting the sound. I can also adjust the sound to match the type of music that I am listening to (EQ). This feature usually isn't found on a unit that is in the range of $99.00. I have a small office at home and it fits easily on the small bookshelf I have. The only thing I would change is the ability to add additional speakers. I would recommend this unit to anyone who enjoys music but has a tight budget and tight space.

Digital camera Review: Awesomeness.
Summary: 4 Stars

Honestly, I only gave it 4 stars because the plastic feels cheap around the speakers and they're a little too light in my opinion. i rather have heavy speakers that don't move around on the desk. But I have no other complaints. I'm a drummer and have been since I was 13, I am now 20. I needed a new speaker system to drum to music because i like to play it loud and don't like using headphones because it never sounds as satisfying. My last speaker system was from Sony as well and that one lasted me about 6 or so years before it started doing some funky stuff, and that was LITERALLY being played FULL volume EVERYDAY for years. So naturally I wanted another Sony system because of how reliable and great my last one was. Got this one, About the same size as my last one, speakers are a little wider, but they are also way louder! I don't need to put the volume to MAX anymore, but who am I kidding, I probably still will. and the bass is fantastic. I find it very easy to use and I'm only mildly tech savvy. Absolutely best bang for your buck. I'm not going to comment on its reliablity because I have only had it about a month now, but knowing Sony, I'm sure it will have a long lifespan. I would most certainly recommend this to anyone who wants a BIG sound from a pretty compact speaker system.

Digital camera Review: Big Mistake
Summary: 1 Stars

Short and sweet, after a month of use, the disc changer does not work. An error message appears, no disc even though there are discs in the unit. I strongly suggest to stear away from buying this.

Digital camera Review: Big sound in a small package
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a true Sony product, works great right out of the box, no issues, sounds great, lots of power and the FM receiver has a strong antenae. Very well worth the $99.

Digital camera Review: Block Rockin' Box!
Summary: 5 Stars

I read other reviews and researched other mini systems before settling on this as my garage sound system. Sound far exceeds my expectations, considering the harsh acoustics of my garage, and the relatively low price of the system. Some limitations, which include only one aux. input on the front (none on back), and the speaker wires are not plugged into the speakers but hard wired to them, requiring some crude splicing to add length to them. Still, awesome system that sound great for not much $$$.
