I have had good luck with SONY products in the past but this is a piece of junk.

I bought this unit about a year ago, and immediately saw that the 3-CD changer was probably a lousy design. Sure enough .. the internal changer mechanism died today with very little usage. I doubt that I've played 50 CD's on this unit in the last year. Other than that, the unit sounds great, but its still about the worst hundred bucks I ever spent. Sony MHC-EC55 Mini Stereo was purchased Dec.2007 and was great for about five months. Then the CD player would only play two Cds and recently (August) it has quit playing completely. It reads NO DISC when there are three discs carefully loaded. I am so very disappointed in this player because it is quite large and now is useless. I have tried to contact SONY with no luck. I have a large quantity of CDs and I would love to be able to play them, but I wondering if the life of a CD player is about six months.Digital camera Review: Christmas present for the hubby

It's probably time to close this item out. Although dated, it's still a value for the price. Hope they get over hard wiring the speakers next time.
