Digital camera Review: Excellent system for a normal person

I bought this system as a gift and recently had the good fortune to use it in its natural setting. The sound quality is great, it's extremely intuitive to use, and you can plug your mp3 player into it. It's really everything I expected from a mini-system like this. The only thing I am disappointed about with this Sony component system is the fact that it was not designed to have wire connections for hooking to an external antenna for better FM reception. It becomes difficult to get good reception. When you live in an area with a higher altitude FM reception becomes difficult. Also I thought the stereo had a port for playing cassettes. However after reading the literature the manual mentions that components sold in North America do not have cassette ports. I should have read the fine print. We got the Sony yesterday for Christmas, and unpacked it right away. It is bigger than we expected, and we had to rearrange part of our living room to accommodate the player. It really is wonderful. The sound is surprising for a unit that sells in this price range. We like chamber music and we got it sounding right.
I read on some of the reviews posted here that the disc changer is loud. Give me a break. The changer does what it has to do without interfering. If your ears are so sensitive or your expectations so pure that the sound of a disc moving in a machine is going to upset your sensibilities then I don't know what you might really want. It's a bargain.
