After reading many reviews, I decided to buy the more expensive Sony RK-G138 Headphone Extension Cable and am so glad I did! They make the sound richer, the ear buds are comfortable and stay put, and make it possible to listen to my radio or stereo while in bed or at my desk.
A good product that does what the manufacturer says it does!

Purchased the RK-G138 connecting cable and am very satisfied with it. The length is plenty long and for some I suppose that could be an issue. This is nothing a twisty-tie/zip-tie can't solve though. Sound quality is clean and response is fast/pure. It "snaps" into place letting you know that you have a good, solid connection. The cord itself is thinner than I expected, but if one is careful and uses common sense, is observant this cord should last them a long time. If anyone purchases Sony XB series headphones or any headphones for that matter I highly recommend getting this.

So far, I've only used this uncoiled cable to add additional length to a set of PC speakers however it seems to do the trick without a hitch. (I purchased a different set of coiled cables for my headphones as they seem to not tangle as easily) so depending on your use they work fine. Gold connections, secure and solid feel as they plug together and no noise interference once in place. A very good buy, & shipped fast as well.Digital camera Review: Broke after a month

This cable worked perfectly for about a month, but now no sound comes out of the left side. If I wiggle the cable at the connector, I can get sound sometimes, but the cable is basically unusable.
I purchased this particular cable over other cheaper varieties because I hoped it'd be of higher quality, so this is pretty disappointing.

This is a very light weight cable so it is easy to manage and store. The overall quality appears to be very good and the socket end makes a secure contact. There is less crosstalk between channels compared to the spiral coil type of extension I have used. Lower crosstalk means better stereo imaging and detail.
