Pros:
-Excellent machine but did not last. (My last SONY from 2000 lasted till beginning of 2006.)
-VHS has super fast rewind and playback. It'll last a long time.
Cons:
-DVD player is not meant to play a lot of DVDs. The VHS side could last for 100 years.
Not worth the $150 I paid for it. If used, DON'T BUY IT SINCE THEY ARE SELLING PROBABLY BECAUSE THE DVD PLAYER IS GOING. When the DVD player goes, it starts to say, "No disc" a lot then stops entirely.

It plays just about any video disc format out there, from DVD-Video to DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, and DVD+RW. Its full-featured, hi-fi stereo VCR allows you to record your favorite shows while watching a DVD. Auto clock and channel set-up makes recording of your favorite TV shows easy--just pop in a VHS tape and press record. Other VCR features include 8-event timer recording, two record settings (SP/EP), quasi S-VHS playback, four 19-micron video heads (for optimized EP recording), and flash rewind.
Sony's Precision Cinema Progressive technology uses a 12-bit video DAC (digital-to-analog converter) with high-bandwidth, 108 MHz processing to detect image changes at the pixel level, rather than at the level of whole scan lines. That makes this player's picture more faithful to the source--whether film or video--because it uses separate, optimized algorithms to handle different pixel behaviors. Separate algorithms are also used to process the moving and still parts of an image, resulting in sharp backgrounds with moving objects that are free from motion artifacts. The Precision Drive 3 feature provides a mechanism for reading DVDs that are in less than perfect condition, eliminating errors in playback due to imperfect, scratched, or warped discs.
The SLV-D370P offers a digital optical audio ouput, enabling Dolby Digital and DTS surround sound capability. Other connection options include:
