I have been using this walkman to convert old tapes to mp3 and the battery lasts a nice long time. I do not need the radio or tv part but they work just as advertised. It would be nice if the volume would go up a bit higher.Digital camera Review: Don't waste your money

I'll make this quick and simple: I've purchased 3 of these products (twice for my father and one for my mother) and 2 out of 3 have broken down within its first year of purchase.
Is that worth $50+? No!
Also, I have a had hard time figuring out how to tune this thing. Walkman should be made very user-friendly. My parents have had a hard time with it and as did I.

The Mega Bass feature is by far the best I've seen (or should I say, heard) in a while. Radio quality is about 48kbps but with the MB feature on, it sounds about 128kbps! Furthermore, the TV tuner (sad it only has up to channel 13) is a unique albeit helpful feature in some scenarios. The weather band does not work for me at all, so I can't review fully on that subject. I pity you people who do not have any reception on the FM/AM tuner as you're missing out on a bundle.
Why give it 4 stars, then? Because I was looking forward of having a record feature; that would be the cream of the crop!
NOTE: I only had this for 24 hours so I cannot give you if not enough feedback on the durabilty; but it look's somewhat durable. Also I bought this for about $10 and since I'm not a big Walkman fan, I cannot say if it is actually worth the MSRP.

I like to listen to books on tape and do it often. I have been through many portable cassette players, which are very hard to find, by the way, and this one is hands down the best sound quality and ease of use I have found. It also comes at a really reasonable price!
