Digital camera reviews of Sony Walkman Digital Tuning Weather FM/AM Stereo Cassette Player (Silver)Digital camera Review: Does what it has to, no more Summary: 4 Stars
I like the carrying case but if you didn't have it there is no clip to attach to a pocket etc. It doesn't turn off at the end of the tape reliably. Sound quality is OK...all in all I was hoping for better quality. I paid $50 and have seen it offered for less since. I probably would be more satisfied if I had paid less. It does what it needs to but quality falls short of what my Sony Sportsman was.
Digital camera Review: Everything I expected it was Summary: 5 Stars
This machine has lived up to it's expectations quite well. As you know, cassette players are soon to be a thing of the past. I currently own a Coby, an RCA, and 3 Sonys. All of my machines are used to listen to books on tape while I walk. Having the on-board radio tuner is nice when my book runs out before my walk is over with! With the FM tuner just one button-push away I can get my daily NPR "fix" on the trip home!!As far as the battery cover is concerned, I agree it could be a bit more substantial in construction however if it is treated as what it is (a battery cover, nothing more-nothing less) it works perfectly! If you need a hammer instead, go get a hammer!! The sound quality can be greatly enhanced by using earbuds instead of the supplied earphones (although they ARE adequate). All in all, I highly recommend this product. A quality product at a great Amazon price!
Digital camera Review: Everything I wished for Summary: 5 Stars
I walk every day and wanted something that was light and easy to take with me so I could listen to books on tape. I found it. It is reliable and easy to use. I am never without it. For my money, this is the best prouct on the market.
Digital camera Review: Excellent Buy for the Price Summary: 4 Stars
I've had this Walkman a little over a year, and like it very much! I mostly use it to listen to in bed, or while doing things around the house, and it works very well. The AM doesn't pick up every station clearly, but manages most, and the Cassette (I use this the most when carrying it around) works great. The little battery door is a bit flimsy, but thanks to the reviews here I knew that when I first opened it, and if you are very careful, it doesn't break off. The function buttons were a bit hard to get used to, but are intuitive once you figure them out. My only complaint about them is that the slightest pressure on the "on" button turns the set on, and so you need to be careful if you are handling it but don't want to play it. Battery life is very long (I haven't timed it, but played a long, unabridged book on tape by Henry James - 15 Cassettes - without having to change the battery. The battery signal on the front is great, as is the ability to set radio stations. I would definitely buy this again, but it looks like the one I have is going to last a long time.
Digital camera Review: Excellent Casette Player/Walkman for the Price Summary: 5 Stars
It's great considering it costs $25 dollars, plays cassette tapes (something hard to find these days), has a built-in radio, a button for the Weather station, and comes with a decent pair of headphones.
It does what it says it does for a good price. It's not above and beyond what I expected, but if you are looking for something like this then I suspect you cannot do better. 5/5
*thumbs up*
