I LOVE this tuner!!!! I hooked it up to an existing Sony component system and it works great. I live between 2 major radio markets and the stations tend to overlap and interfere with each other. With this tuner I'm able to hear the quality HD stations and now get regular FM and AM with stellar reception and sound! If you live in an area where it is hard to lock into your favorite stations, THIS IS THE TUNER TO GET!Digital camera Review: Best yet

This is the second HD tuner I have purchased. This is the least expensive and by far the best. Like every one else has said the tuner picks up stations that I didn't know were there. The sound quality of this tuner is so much nicer and if the HD signal fades you do not lose the channel and have to retune the tuner. Well worth the money.Digital camera Review: Better than expected!

We moved to the Colorado foothills south of Denver and our radio reception went to H---. Tried a FM roof antenna and everything short of cable. Saw this Sony HD tuner and took a chance. It works FABULOUSLY! Plugged it in and had better FM reception than when we lived in town (ok, the burbs). We love FM radio and were disappointed at being out-of-touch. No Longer!
No, I don't work for Sony, We love the FM classical, jazz and Pop music stations in the Denver area (KVOD,KUVO & KBCO for those who must know) and this tuner gave them back to us. Highest recommendation for this product!

I bought this "radio" for my mother-in-law who was wanting a tabletop HD radio. Thinking that the title is Sony XDRF1HD HD Radio (mind you not receiver, or tuner) as Amazon advertises it, I bought it. When I received it today, it wasn't until then, that I realized I had bought a tuner as it states on the box. Being electronically challenged, I'm not even sure how to hook up speakers to it, being that it is an audio out jack as how one might hook up your vcr, or dvd player to a tv. I think Amazon needs to change the title of this product. It's very deceiving and now I am stuck with either trying to figure out the speaker situation or returning it, which is a hassle not to mention the shipping charges I will lose or the cost of returning it. Not happy with the way Amazon describes this product.

Simply a great sounding tuner for the money. Pulls in stations a significantly pricier tuner can't receive. Sound on Hybrid Digital (HD) stations is often better than the analog equivalent. Single negative is that the HD function cannot be turned off or bypassed.
