Digital camera Review: DON'T BUY FROM THIS RESELLER!!
Summary: 2 Stars
First, this product is NOT a HD-radio!! It is misdescribed and is really just a HD-Tuner, and requires a total audio system to support it. It requires a receiver w/amplifier, speakers, RCA cables, etc. All not included.
Second, if you mistakenly think it's a radio and you buy it through Amazon's reseller, "ATLANTA NETWORK TECHNOLOGIES", aka "ANTONLINE", they will NOT allow you to return it! Disgusting 19th Century marketing, and I'm surprised that Amazon allows them in their stable of resellers.
I had to open the package to determine that it was NOT what I thought I had purchased. When you open the package, you are disqualifed from returning it. That is disgusting!!
Complaints are rampant in their reviews saying that this product should NOT be called a HD-Radio, but a Tuner.
Unfortunately I didn't read those reviews until today, after I received -- and opened -- the package!!

This is a decent little AM/FM HD tuner for the price paid (under $100). It's functionality sensitivity are all as expected. Works fine indoors with supplied antenna. Works much better with outside FM antenna. Sound Quality is good. Pros:
Very small. Easily fits on a desk at work.
Cons:
Requires the antenna connected to even get static. This is bad for people wanting to use the device at their desk at work.
No volume control.
No headphone jack.
Poor reception. Apparently HD radio only works if you are less than a mile from the broadcast location?
Cannot tune to multiple HD broadcasts from the same station.
Verdict:
Total waste of money since a $10 clock radio gets the same reception.

Purchased the Sony HDR-F1HD Digital Tuner back in March, and used it twice. After that the unit stopped working completely. Tried everything including the reset button, did no good. They said that they would exchange it, as long as there was no evidence of abuse? Sent it out today en route to the Sony Service Center in Texas. I would not be a bit surprised to receive a reconditioned unit sent back to me in its place.
I am disappointed.
