Digital camera reviews of Sony ZSH10CP Heavy Duty CD Radio Boombox

Digital camera Review: Excellent product
Summary: 5 Stars

This was a Christmas present for my son. The sound is excellent. He blasted it at his house. Very happy with the sound. I feel I got my money's worth.

Digital camera Review: GREAT product!
Summary: 5 Stars

AWSOME sound, fast track-to-track navigation in both MP3 and plain cd, very durable construction and pretty light for it's size. the only downside to this product is it DOES NOT come with the software stated. you must download that directly from Sony.

Digital camera Review: Good - Except for the Cord
Summary: 4 Stars

This is almost the perfect jobsite radio. The D battery supply works well since the other jobsite radios require that you own a certain cordless tool to operate their units. I can get two days on a set of D batteries and do not need to crank up the generator unless we are cutting or grinding.

The handle feels cheap - partially because the unit is so heavy and the transformer on the cord adapter is retarded. A built in transformer would have been too easy to do, what is another 1/2 pound when the transformer on the chord is stored in the secret compartment anyway.

The sound is much better than the Bosch box even though the Bosch box looks way more cool. This unit could use a GFI and a whip antenna like the Box has.

Overall, this is the way to go. I hope Sony upgrades the chord, antenna handle and adds a GFI in the next version.

Digital camera Review: Good Worksite Radio
Summary: 4 Stars

I've used this boombox at a worksite for the past few months now. Already it has survived a 6 foot fall onto concrete with only minor scratching. It is loud enough to be heard over generators and air compressors and lasts a solid week on batteries when used for 9 hours a day on high volume. The line-in jack is a great feature for working in areas with poor radio reception.

My only complaint (and the reason it doesn't get 5 stars) is that the radio resets itself when switching from wall power to battery power - forcing you to retune and readjust the volume. For most people it's probably not a problem, but when working around generators and trying to save batteries it gets old quickly.

Digital camera Review: Good little boombox!
Summary: 5 Stars

I was in New York City. In Greenwich Village, they had one of those outside art festivals, all kinds of things for sale. And then, I noticed not one, but three (3) of the booths had these red Sony boom-boxes outside playing their own various kinds of music just for background music to what they were selling. That sold me. I instantly went to amazon to check rating reviews which were mostly high and price until I found the one I wanted, and you know, I had a very Merry Christmas! The end. :)
P.S.: I plugged my Ipod into it and WOW! it is so cool! :)
