Digital camera reviews of Sony ZSH10CP Heavy Duty CD Radio Boombox

Digital camera Review: Good value - has everything
Summary: 4 Stars

This boombox arrived quicker than the music CD's ordered at the same time. It came quick! Nice machine. Sony seems to have pulled it off again. I have had this machine for only a few weeks so far, but my initial reaction is that it is a great value. JB - Reno

Digital camera Review: Good value for the price
Summary: 4 Stars

Overall I am very satisfied with this product. I wanted a sturdy boombox to use outside while working or playing and this fits that very nicely. Like the compartment to store the power so you can hide it away when not needed but have it available if close to a power outlet. Saves on batteries. The only reason I did not give this a full 5 star rating is that when connecting an MP3 player to the unit, which is one of the features I wanted most, the volume doesnt go as loud as will a CD or an MP3 CD. It is still pretty loud, but if there is other noises around it would be better if it would go as loud as when you play CD's. But that being said I would still recommend this product. I used it this past summer quite a bit and worked great.

Digital camera Review: Great Boombox
Summary: 5 Stars

I have had this boombox for a month & so far, it is great. I use it in an indoor pool area with extremely poor sound
acoustics due to a high ceiling & noisy overhead fan ventilators. Now my aquarobics class can hear the music & enjoy their workout. The sound quality & projection works well in our environment. Other than the boombox being somewhat cumbersome to lug back & forth to the health club, I am very satisfied with it's performance thus far.

Digital camera Review: Great Outdoor or Shop Sound
Summary: 4 Stars

I'm tired of cheap plastic products that barely make it to their warranty expiration before breaking down. I've had this boombox for 2 years and it looks and acts like new. No signs of wear.

That's great because I've exposed it to weather (light rain) and dust that have killed regular boomboxes. It gets sufficient volume without heavy distortion that I can hear it some distance away over background noise.

On 6 D batteries, I can run it for over 4 hours per day for almost a month. That's been a lot handier than I expected it would be - largely because the AC cord is separate and I keep loosing track of it. There is a little piece of rubber which fits over the input jack that's separate and easy to loose, which wouldn't be replaceable.

This boombox has also accepted any CD I've burned or my friends have given me. Sometimes that's rare anymore to find. I usually plug my iPod in and the sound has been very good (maybe even better) with that.

I have not tried to use this with radio, since radio is dead where I live (thanks Clear Channel).

This boombox is considered portable, but it's built like a tank, weighs as much as a tank and a tank might even be smaller. This isn't something I'd want to carry around much. It's meant to be put in one location which is perfect for a garage, outdoors camping or fishing, or jobsite. And that's what it does.

Digital camera Review: Great Shop BoomBox
Summary: 5 Stars

I use this boombox in a machine shop where the machinery can get pretty loud and it sounds awesome. I had bought 2 boomboxes before this one and returned them both because they would not get loud enough for us to hear. I love the fact that it plays MP3s. 1 cd will last us the entire day. We can also hook up MP3 players to it to listen to. I love the bright red color. When I walk in the shop in the morning I can easily figure out where night crew left it. Since we are in a metal building it can be hard to catch radio stations so the night crew tends to move it around to catch the "big game" of the evening. Overall I would highly recommend this portable radio. It was a great buy for me.
