I was gonna say that this little piggy is a great sounding unit for its size, but actually its a great sounding unit, period. Sure it's cutsie and adorable (which is why I got it) but it sounds amazing and it works perfectly. The remote has good range, and the system has lived up to my hopes. It's well made and doesn't look cheaply put together. I searched for a long time for an alternative that had good sound, looked good and would last a long time. Almost all of the products in this price range looked like cheap alarm clocks that I had in the 80's. Crappy styling. Most of them looked great in pictures, but when I examined them in stores I was completely disappointed.
All-in-all a great buy. I'm starting to wonder if maybe I shouldn't have gotten the white one since this one sticks out a bit (pink), but it is a little piggy after all.

I love the whimsical look. I am not a musician, but the sound seems great to me. It is easy to use with the remote. To turn the pig off, you have to reach around the back, but it is doable. I got this pig as a gift... I love it! My husband does rating checks on everything he buys and this rated high enough for him to purchase for me. He knows that I play music loud and wouldn't be happy with a speaker for just background noise - this pig holds up to the volume. It charges the ipod and itouch. The volume is in the ears and adjusts with hardly any touch at all. Looks much better than a square box on the counter in the kitchen.Digital camera Review: Impressive

For those reviewers disparaging the instructions and adapters, the only thing missing really is the mention of the cradle removal tool, only listed in Parts and briefly mentioned in Instructions. The tool itself is hidden amongst the adapters. But once you know it exists, and see how the adapters fit into their slots, it's self-explanatory and easy to use. Otherwise, all the good and great things said about this unit are absolutely true. We love it!
