This case for the iPod Nano is awesome! Its rubberized so absorbs any shocks from accidental drops. It also amkes the Nano "bigger" which is great for me because I always thought the Nano was a little too small. I love the Nano, but its size created an easy to lose/damage item. This Toughskin product for the Apple ipod nano 2G really works great and looks great. It looks like it will be very shock resistant with the large integral bumper lugs throughout the design. The ipod fits like a glove and no slipping is anticipated. The supplied transparent protective display screen cover is easy to install and will be easy to keep clean with the removable design. Just load in the ipod and then load in the screen protector. All of the controls and connections are still easily accessible. No problem with accessing the release buttons on the ipod cord connector plug. The belt clip design worked out great, it fits belts, and can easily be clipped to a shirt or pocket. The swivel design of the clip allows the ipod to remain in the vertical position, a big plus. The clip looks pretty rugged and should last for a long time. The belt clip is removable, another big plus if just placing the ipod on a desk or in a pocket. This is a good product and should be considered especially if your ipod will be exposed to dangers that could damage it by a simple bump into something or a drop could occur. One of my better purchases.
The one thing I learned while loading the ipod into the Toughskin sleeve is to make sure the lock out controls button is activated on the ipod to ensure that the malicious key combination of "menu" and "select" are not held down simultaneously causing ipod shut down and requiring a reboot sequence of switching the lock out control on then off then holding the menu and select button down simultaneously for 6 - 10 seconds to reboot the ipod. This took a little while to get straight with help from the Apple support web page. But everyone already knows not to do this, right?

it's a pleasure to recommend something without reservation. This study little thing does what it was designed to. It obviously had more than a little thought put into it and possesses none of the usual defects of small, cheap, once in a lifetime purchases. Let me assure those put off by a negative review or two that the thing fits my 2G ipod nano perfectly, not too tight when I put it on, not so loose that later adjustment is necessary. The plastic screen protector is just fine: what do some of these reviewers expect, leaded crystal? Heated washer nozzles? The belt clip is a little large but you can take or leave it: the male attachment on the cover itself is seriously and reassuringly strong but can be removed easily if you take the nano out first. If you were actually to use it to attach your nano to your belt (you dork) you would be dissatisfied in the end with anything smaller. True, it doesn't spontaneously compose continental philosophy or function very well as a sex toy. But if you want something to protect your nano the thing can't be beat. Oh, I have no idea who the manufacturers are, the reviews were positive so I clicked. Digital camera Review: Good product, would be better with a couple of changes.

The ToughSkin does a good job of protecting my Nano. It is a tight fit, so it was a little difficult to put on and take off (if you need to take it off for any reason). The screen protector isn't glued in to the jacket (by design or because it was poorly attached) and it kept falling out as I was trying to put my iPod in. Because of this, I had fingerprints on the inside fo the screen protector so I had to take it all out, clean it, and work to get it put back in. But once it's all in, it's a nice tight fit. The navigation wheel isn't protected which is nice when you're using it, but doesn't protect the wheel from being scratched.
The jacket also changed the way the base fits into my docking station so that was kind of a pain, but I was able to take out the platic docking piece and the Nano fits just fine.
Overall I'm happy with the product and would buy it again.

I love the rugged looks...Its awsome..I am using it on my 8 gb nano..It comes with a plastic screen protector which is cool !! Highly recommended..also I got it free after rebate so there are no complaints on the price.
