Ive used this protector for my 80 gig ipod for a few years now and it has held up good. i am pretty rough on my ipod, i usually split firewood with it and keep it in my front pocket. this thing has been crushed, dropped, stepped on, left in the sun. you name it i probably did it to the ipod. The only thing i have yet to do is send it through the wash when i do not recommend. So far my ipod has broken twice over the years of abuse. the only thing i had to do was pop it open and do a lil tinkering around which i also do not recommend unless you know what your looking at. i can honestly say if i did not have a protector for this ipod the case would be cracked, the screen would also be cracked, and it would probably not work anymore. it is very durable and so far the rubber has not stretched out.Digital camera Review: Good - except the "screen cover"

This case provides good strong protection, and the hard plastic cover for the screen is great. The belt clip option is not good for workouts (especially running) - it's a little flimsy and the ipod bounces around way too much. If you plan to use your ipod for workouts, get a different case for that.Digital camera Review: Good Protector but ......

For sure it is a good protector for my Ipod, and that is why I bought it. However, the Ipod cannot be 'slid' into a pocket anymore. The protecting cover makes the Ipod bulky and it 'grabs' the material of a pocket. It comes with a belt clip, which is fine, but don't expect to go jogging with it as it will be too bulky and bouncy. (The Nano or Shuffle is more for running anyways)
The rubberized material is good in the car because the Ipod won't slide around. Lastly, I use the Monster brand FM transmitter. The plug of the transmitter was bigger than the opening of the protector. I simply used a razor blade to enlarge the opening to accomidate the plug.
