Digital camera reviews of StarTech.com HDMIMM6 6 feet HDMI to HDMI Digital Video CableDigital camera Review: Didn't work ... Summary: 1 Stars
I ordered this cable to hook up a PS3 to a HDTV and it didn't work. I tried to use this cable to hook up a HD-DVR to a HDTV and it didn't work. I took this cable to my friend's house and tried to hook up a PS3 and HD-DVR to his HDTV, and same results. I got a HDMI-HDMI cable from Monoprice and the cable worked right out of the box.
Digital camera Review: Don't Pay Extra Summary: 5 Stars
These cables are great. Don't pay big name prices. I have one of the big name cables and I switched it out with this cable and I can tell no difference in image or sound quality.
Digital camera Review: Don't waste your money on Monster cables Summary: 5 Stars
Or any other overpriced HDMI wire. This one works great and is shipped super fast. Highly recommended!
Digital camera Review: Easy for the technically challenged Summary: 5 Stars
I was a little nervous purchasing a cable for our new plasma TV. I didn't even know what HDMI was. Well, I didn't need to know. All I had to do was plug one end into the TV receptacle and the other end into the satellite receiver box. Mission accomplished and our HD reception is fantastic.
Digital camera Review: Excellent buy! Summary: 5 Stars
After a lot of on-line shopping for a HDMI cable, I was amazed to see how much some vendors are willing to charge for a 6' hunk of wire. Then, I found the StarTech HDMIMM6 cable for $2.11. No typo, folks... $2.11 for a new HDMI cable. I was skeptical, but I was willing to take the risk for the potential savings. With shipping, the total came to just over $7. To make a long story short, I received the cable in just a few days, and it worked flawlessly right out of the package.
Now, I'm sure there are the purists among you that say there's no way you can buy a quality HDMI cable for $2, but when you consider how cheap wire is and how simple it is to build a cable on an assembly line, $2 isn't unreasonable. Heck, you can buy a Sony DVD player for under $75, so why not a cable for $2? Recent on-line reviews confirm that while the difference in quality between expensive and inexpensive cables can be measured with sophisticated electronic gear, the human eye can't detect those differences, so don't fall for the "high-price" hype.
