Digital camera Review: Old school flash but it certainly does the job

I have not used an external flash prior to this and I was wondering if I should go with one of the fully automatic modern flashes. But given the price differential the Sunpak was an easy choice.
It can be use in its automatic mode where parameters are set using the table like knobs on the back or it can be use fully manual by just adjusting the flash output level.
Use it to bounce off a ceiling or wall while on camera or get a radio trigger and get the freedom to place it where you want.
