Digital camera Review: Best $30 tripod

I recently got this tripod for $30 on woot. For that amount of money I didn't expect much, I just needed a backup/secondary camera tripod. (my last one got mashed). It's sturdy with fairly smooth action - much better than I expected. I think this would fine for most still work (if you don't use too long a lens) or for small to medium size video cameras. It won't suit serious professionals (at that price, you wouldn't expect it to). It's easily worth the $30 I paid - or the $38 cost here.

The 7500 PLATINUM Pro Tripods features a geared center column with an ingenius tension adjustment system. This is to prevent heavy cameras from crashing down when releasing the center column locking knob. Designed to be exceptionally sturdy and convienent for quick setup and adjustment. Featuring 3-Section Large Diameter Legs, oversized ergonomically shaped flip-lock controls and swiveling rubber feet. The 3-way Fluid Effect Panhead has tension adjustment on the tilt and pan as well as a spring-loaded pin on the quick release plate. The very smooth panning and tilting action of these tripods makes them ideal for film, digital or video cameras and camcorders. Equipped with a Bubble level.
