Digital camera reviews of Surefire SF12-BB Box of 12 123A 3 Volt Lithium Batteries 12-Pack SF123ADigital camera Review: 9+ Year Life Summary: 5 Stars
Good News. Others have complained about the near expiration date on these Surefire Batteries from Ace Photo. I just ordered some in 03/2011 with an expiration date of 09/2020. That's 9 1/2 years. As for the batteries themselves, I've used them in the past with great success.
Digital camera Review: A little too early for a review... Summary: 5 Stars
I am very pleased with the Surefire 12 pack 123A batteries so far...although I have not had to use any of them yet, as my current Surefire batteries are still going strong!
I was pleased to see that unlike others had reported with outdated batteries, these are very fresh, with a production date of 06/2010, so they will have a long (10 year) shelf life according to Surefire.
It's very convienient to have a 12 pack on hand, and the price was right. So far, so good...I'll try to update when I actually get to use a couple of these guys...
Digital camera Review: Amazon = Tax and Shipping Compounded in Total Summary: 5 Stars
As the title states: Yes the Surefire website sells this pack of batteries for $21, but include their minimum 6.95 shipping fee and their 1.94 tax makes this bundle from surefire cost 29.89. Amazon lists their price as 27.40 (as of May 27th, 2010) and guess what I'm paying after taxes and shipping... 27.40. It's not huge savings but 2.49 saved is better than nothing.
As for the product itself: I have bought this product before and I am now returning to purchase another set. I can confirm that these batteries last just about as long on the shelf or in use as the two previous commercial brands I have used in my flashlights (Energizer and Duracell). For this price and quality, I highly recommend purchasing these batteries. Also, due to the aforementioned shipping and tax fees hidden on Surefire's website I can recommend only one place to purchase them: Amazon.com Don't blame Surefire though, they're following suit with most other websites where you tally the total only after you're ready to pay. Cheers to Amazon for being one of the few upfront websites around. :)
Digital camera Review: As Advertised Summary: 5 Stars
This product was exactly what it says it is. It arrived quickly, and product works as anticipated.
Digital camera Review: Buy in Bulk to Save Summary: 5 Stars
If you use a high performance flashlight, buying batteries over the counter can be prohibitively expensive. I've seen prices as high as $7 for 2 batteries. Get them by the box, from the manufacturer (Surefire) or your local gun store if possible and you will save money.
These types of batteries have a very long shelf life and can be difficult to locate in an emergency (i.e. after a hurricane or other natural disaster). Stock up and store them in a cool dry place.
