I use these in my Surefire flashlight, and they seem to last forever. There is little to no loss of intensity throughout the entire life of the battery. I am on my second set in my light, and I would estimate the total runtime to be somewhere between 10-12 hours of high intensity run time. Nearly all quality high-output halogen and LED flashlights use these cells. But buying them over the counter is needlessly expensive. Since they last about 5 years in storage, why not buy a bunch? For those of us in areas prone to natural disaster, these are a good investment and don't take up a lot of space.Digital camera Review: Only Torch

The LX2 is a small, light, ruggedly built and excellently well finished torch. It has a lanyard and a very sturdy clip that easily snaps into your belt or trousers.
It has two options for switching on the lights- a button on the back and a twist mechanism on the rear of the barrel. If the button is pressed to half a less powerful light is emitted and
if it is pressed all the way the strength of the beam is surprisingly bright and has a great throw. In the twist option, the strength of the beam increases as you progressively twist the rear of the barrel.
This ability to control the strength of the light is very helpful.
Though there is a warning at the front of the barrel, the area around the bulb gets hot quickly. At its price, a ceramic ring on the front of the barrel wouldn't have been too much to ask for.
It is a great tool and if you are inclined towards owning one good flashlight, this is the one.

My old surefires finally died in my flashlight after about 5 years of casual use in my surefire flashlight. I decided it was best to be prepared and bought this 12 pack. I have a 2nd flashlight now and having several batteries availabe makes me much more willing to use my small flashlights instead of my big maglite.
